I was raised in the home of a missionary/pastor in Canada. While my dad was finishing college I realized that I was a sinner, three weeks before I turned 4, and asked Jesus Christ to forgive me of my sin and to save me.
In 1988 our family finished deputation and moved to Canada where my dad started the Pembina Valley Baptist Church. At the age of 17, God called me to full-time service during our church’s missions conference. I enrolled in Canadian Baptist Bible College the following spring. Throughout my years in college I assisted and then directed our teen department at church thinking that God would have us in teen ministry, but not sure.
It was during the 2004 missions conference at our home church that both my wife, Maureen, and I were individually convinced that God would have us go to Thailand.
